One of our strongest single origin coffees. This coffee is sometimes known as Tim Tim. This coffee has a complex and condensed flavour, which is admired by enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. Hailing from the Indonesian island of Sumatra, Sumatran beans are very low in acidity and produce an aroma that ranges from maple syrup to chocolate to toasted almonds. With just enough acidity to provide a vibrancy, Mandheling coffee often exhibits tones of sweet chocolate and licorice. Our Sumatra Mandheling Arabica coffee beans are full bodied, deep and rich. Sumatra Mandheling tasting notes often describe it as earthy and intense with an herbal aroma, unique to the region and not found in South American or African coffees. We love roasting this because Sumatran beans have the distinctive blue glassy colour until they're roasted fully, they also have a very distinctive shape, rather a long bean… have a look at the shape before you grind! Cultivated on Mount Luser where the soil is rich in volcanic ash, an ideal environment for growing coffee.

Sumatra Mandheling is a very distinguishable coffee and as its name suggests, comes from Sumatra in Indonesia.
